20,000 Google Career Certificate scholarships announced for Sindh students
Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah has announced, on Wednesday, that 20,000 Google Career Certificate scholarships will be given to students studying in public universities across the province.

Google Career Certification Program 2026

The CM also officially launched the Google Career Certification Program 2026 for students in Sindh. The initiative is being carried out in partnership with Google and Tech Valley Pakistan.
As part of the program, the Sindh Science and Information Technology Department, the Sindh Higher Education Commission, and Tech Valley Pakistan signed a memorandum of understanding to work together on the project.
The CM said the scholarship program has now been expanded to all public universities in Sindh. He said students from across the province will have the opportunity to receive the scholarships.
Under the program, students will receive international-level training in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analytics, and other modern fields.

Google certification course

Previously, Google announced that it would provide free certification courses to more than 100,000 students in Pakistan.
According to the details, students will not have to pay the usual course fee. It is normally from $400 to $1,000.
The program offered courses lasting three to six months in fields like cybersecurity, AI, and business intelligence.

Training session on Google Gemini

The announcement was made during an event held at the CM House to promote technology and digital skills among young people.
The event also included a training session on Google’s artificial intelligence model, Gemini, for members of the Sindh cabinet and senior government officials.
Speaking at the event, Murad Ali Shah said technology is changing the way people live and work.
He said that the Sindh government wants to improve digital skills in both government offices and among the public.
He further talked about artificial intelligence (AI), saying it can help make government work easier and improve policy decisions by providing faster and better information.
However, he added that responsibility, leadership, and public trust will always remain with elected representatives and government institutions.
