ISLAMABAD: Former-Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) information secretary Ahmad Jawad has been arrested from Islamabad.
As per details, the ex-PTI secretary Ahmad Jawad was arrested under the PECA act.
It is pertinent to mention here that in 2022, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had expelled former central secretary information Ahmad Jawad from the party.
According to a statement, Ahmed Jawad s party membership was revoked on baseless allegations against the leadership. His party membership was revoked by the PTI s standing committee on discipline and accountability.
The statement also said that Ahmed Jawad was given an opportunity to clear his position and show cause notices had been issued to him on January 12 and 19 that year. The PTI leader instead of explaining his position had sent a new list of charges.
“In light of the evidence and the written reply of Ahmed Jawad, it was decided to revoke his party membership,” the statement added. A two-member sub-committee on standing committee discipline and accountability has issued a written decision in this regard.
