Jet fuel price increases in Pakistan, will airfare also go up?

Jet fuel price increases in Pakistan July 11, 2026

After the latest increase in the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene oil, the government has also raised the price of jet fuel used by airlines, sparking concerns over a possible increase in airfares.

According to a notification issued on Saturday, the price of jet fuel has been increased by Rs13.23 per litre, taking the new rate to Rs251.20 per litre.

The revision comes in response to the recent surge in international oil prices, which has driven up the cost of aviation fuel.

While no airline has yet announced fare revisions, the increase in jet fuel prices could put upward pressure on airfares if higher operating costs are passed on to passengers.

The government earlier announced new petrol and diesel prices today in Pakistan, on July 10, 2026. A notification has been issued in this regard.

The prices of petrol have been increased by Rs13.18, and diesel prices have been increased by Rs13.80.

The new price of petrol will be Rs310.71, and the new price of high speed diesel will be Rs323.30, as per the notification.

Earlier reports

According to reports earlier, the government was expected to increase the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel for the next seven days.

The expected increase comes after fresh tensions between the United States and Iran pushed global oil prices higher.

Reports said the price of petrol may increase by about Rs13 per litre. The new price will be around Rs310 per litre.

High-speed diesel was also expected to become about Rs14 per litre more expensive. Its new price will be around Rs324 per litre.

The Petroleum Division issued an official notification to announce the new fuel prices. The revised rates will remain in effect for one week.
