ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that we are in a state of war, following Indian sponsored suicide blast in Islamabad’s G-11 sector.
Atleast 12 people have died and more than 27 injured in a suicide blast by the Indian sponsored Fitna al-Khawarij near the Islamabad judicial complex in sector G-11 of the federal capital on Tuesday.
The Minister took to X and warned that anyone who thinks that the Pakistan Army is fighting this war in the Afghan-Pakistan border region and the remote areas of Balochistan “should take today’s suicide attack at the Islamabad district courts as a wake-up call: this is a war for all of Pakistan, in which the Pakistan Army is giving daily sacrifices and making the people feel secure.”
He said that in this environment, it would be futile to hold out any hope for successful negotiations with Afghan Taliban.
“The rulers of Kabul can stop terrorism in Pakistan, but bringing this war all the way to Islamabad is a message from Kabul, to which praise be to God Pakistan has the full strength to respond,” Khawaja Asif added.
Islamabad Blast
According to initial reports, the blast took place outside the court, hitting people standing nearby. According to the latest reports, 11 people have been killed and thirteen to fourteen people were injured.
According to eye witnesses, the sound of blast could be heard in far sectors as well creating panic in the area. Rescue teams and police reached the site immediately.
The injured have been shifted to the hospital.
The alleged suicide bomber’s head and other body parts have been found lying on the road.
There are fears of rising casualties.
The magnitude of the blast was so immense that several motorcycles, and cars have also been damaged.
According to police they have gathered evidence from the blast site and have started investigations. The entire complex has been evacuated. The judges have also been sent home.
Authorities have advised citizens to stay away from the parking area for now and cooperate with rescue teams.
EMERGENCY DECLARED AT PIMS
After the blast, a state of emergency has been declared at PIMS hospital Islamabad.
According to hospital sources, nine bodies have been bought to the hospital.
According to the hospital sources, so far 12 injured have been bought to the hospital. More injured are being transported to the hospital, through ambulances and police vehicles.
There are fears that the casualties could rise as several of the injured are said to be critical.
A large number of police force has also been deployed at the hospital.

According to security sources, the blast in Islamabad is Indian Sponsored along with operation going on in Cadet College Wana.
