Web desk: Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, strongly condemned the recent terror attacks on the Federal capital, Islamabad, and Wana Cadet College.

Maulana Tahir Ashrafi praised the Pakistan Army for thwarting an assault on Wana Cadet College.
In a video message, Ashrafi began with an invocation and expressed sorrow for the victims. He blamed Pakistan’s enemies for attempting to ignite a campaign of terrorism against the country.
He also thanked security forces for stopping an attack on the cadet college in Wana. He linked their response to the defence shown during the APS school attack.
Ashrafi denounced the suicide blast in Islamabad and condemned the perpetrators as killers of innocent people.
“These dogs of hell, who are the killers of innocent humanity,” he said.
Citing Quranic verses, he said those who kill innocents deserve severe punishment and stressed that the whole nation stands with the state against “terrorism, barbarism and brutality.”
He warned that external actors, naming hostile elements in Afghanistan and accusing India and its allies of backing such campaigns. He said these aim to weaken Pakistan.
Ashrafi urged decisive action against those responsible and expressed confidence that terrorism will be defeated. He praised past sacrifices and vowed continued resistance.
He closed by reaffirming solidarity with Pakistan’s institutions and people. And called on the international community to take clear action against those fomenting violence.
Islamabad Blast
The blast took place near the Islamabad judicial complex in sector G-11, by the Indian sponsored Fitna al-Khawarij.
Sources have stated that Afghanistan is behind the attack. A powerful explosion rocked the G-11 Sector courthouse in Islamabad around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, with the blast heard across a wide area.
According to police, a suicide bomber on a motorcycle targeted a police vehicle before detonating himself. The blast ignited nearby vehicles, and debris from the bomber was scattered inside the courthouse.
