NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said the conspirators behind the New Delhi Red Fort blast “will not be spared” and said those responsible would be brought to justice.
In his first public comments after the explosion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowed that those behind the attack “will not be spared.”
During his address, Modi briefly switched from Hindi to English, declaring that “all those responsible will be brought to justice.”
He added that he had been in constant contact with investigating agencies throughout the night and expressed confidence that they would “uncover the full conspiracy.”
Despite his strong words, there is still no official clarification on the cause of last night’s blast.
According to analysts this is an attempt by Modi to turn the blast into an election theme in Bihar, framing it as a call to “avenge” the attack.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also echoed the same saying agencies have been ordered to “hunt down each and every culprit” and face the “full wrath” of state forces.
Delhi police have registered a case under India’s anti-terror law as investigations continue.
Pakistani analysts and officials warned the incident could be used for political gain inside India and making strong rhetoric is aimed at gathering domestic support ahead of elections.
