Web desk: A Station House Officer (SHO) was found dead on Tuesday in the Daudshah area of Bannu. The police officer, identified as SHO Abidullah Khan, had been abducted by armed militants two days earlier.
According to police sources, Abidullah Khan’s body was recovered from the Nala Pul area in Daud Shah, within the limits of the Cantt Police Station.
The officer is the son of Gul Khan. He was taken away by the militants along with his motorcycle.
A group named Lashkar-i-Difaat al-Quds has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping.
According to reports, local elders had managed to secure the officer’s release through a deal early Tuesday morning. However, before reaching home, the militants martyred him. His body was later discovered at Nala Pul in Daud Shah.
Police officials have condemned the incident, calling it a serious attack on law enforcement.
They said the act highlights the worsening law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where such incidents have become increasingly frequent.
The martyrdom of SHO Abidullah Khan has deeply saddened the local police force and the wider community.
