Magnitude 5.2 earthquake jolts parts of Karachi

KARACHI: On Monday night, a slight earthquake shook some sections of Karachi. Moreover, people experienced a tremor in the metropolitan territory.

The trembling took place in the evening. Citizens complained that they experienced it in Saddar and Clifton.

Likewise, the tremors were felt in I.I. Chundrigar Road. Gulistan-e-Johar was also affected by tremors.

More importantly, no direct damage or victims have been reported by authorities. Police are still checking the situation in the city. No major destruction was caused by the earthquake.

On Monday, an earthquake, which was smaller, shook Sibi in Balochistan.

That earthquake registered 3.2 on the Richter scale. The government is assuring people that all is well.

Nevertheless, the incident reminds the citizens of the seismic activity of the region. The authorities will issue additional information when they get it.
