According to reports on social media, an Ariana Afghan Boeing 737 has overrun the runway at Kabul International Airport on Wednesday.

The Ariana Afghan Airlines Boeing 737-400 operating flight FG-252 from Herat to Kabul over ran the runway after landing at Kabul Airport.

The aircraft moved to the right, crossed a taxiway, and stopped on soft ground, according to the reports.

Passengers were evacuated using emergency slides. No injuries have been reported yet, but the plane’s left wing was damaged.

Kabul weather today

The weather in Kabul has been reported to be cool and damp. The damp and rainy conditions currently reported can be “poor” to “fair” for flight operations, according to online reports.

According to the information available online, Ariana Afghan Airlines currently operates a fleet of Boeing 737 Classic aircraft.

It primarily consists of the 737-400 and 737-500 variants. These aircraft are used for both domestic routes and regional international flights, such as those between Kabul and Islamabad, according to the details.

Aircraft crashes in India

Before this, another aircraft had crashed in India, officials have confirmed.

A medical chartered aircraft carrying seven people, which was travelling from Ranchi to Delhi, crashed on Monday after going missing near the Samaria area of Jharkhand state in India, officials have confirmed.

According to Indian media, the aircraft was a Beechcraft King Air BE9L. It was being operated by Delhi based company, Redbird Airways Pvt Ltd.

The plane departed from Ranchi at 7:07 PM and was expected to arrive in Delhi at 10:00 PM.

There were seven people on board, including one patient. The others included a doctor, a paramedic, two assistants, the pilot in command, and a co pilot.
