The Minister of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan, Attaullah Tarar, spoke on Friday.
Terrorists are trained in Afghanistan, Atta Tarar said. He further added that the nexus between the terrorists and the Afghan Taliban regime has been made as clear as daylight.
The Afghan Taliban regime is based on a system of repression and perversion of religion, Atta Tarar further said. He shed light on the oppression of Afghan women under this regime.
The Information Minister said that the citizens of Afghanistan are deprived of basic rights. He added that the situation of human freedoms there is alarming.
Atta Tarar said that the aggression carried out by the Afghan Taliban was responded to effectively by Pakistan.
He said that the recent terrorist acts in Pakistan used Afghan soil, which is a major threat to regional peace.
The Information Minister expressed his determination that Pakistan will not compromise on its national security, and effective measures against terrorism will continue.
The Information Minister said that citizens of Afghanistan are deprived of basic rights, and the situation of human freedoms there is worrying.
He revealed that Afghan nationals were involved in the attacks in Islamabad’s Kacheri and Tarlai areas, which raises serious security concerns.
Ata Tarar said that Pakistan responded effectively to the aggression carried out by the Afghan Taliban.
He added that Afghanistan’s territory was used for recent terrorist activities in Pakistan. Adding that it posed a major threat to regional peace.

DG ISPR holds press conference
DG ISPR Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry held an important press conference today, on Friday.
He said that the hideouts of Fitna al-Khawarij were targeted on the night of February 21 and 22.
He said that so far, 274 Khawarij have been killed and 400 have been injured. It was further informed that 73 posts have been completely destroyed, while 17 posts are occupied by the Pakistan Army.
The Prime Minister has been informed about all the progress of Operation Ghazb-lil-Haq.
The DG ISPR also stated that no civilians were killed in Afghanistan and that all destroyed posts were military targets involved in attacks against Pakistan.
‘No compromise on national security’
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM), Sohail Afridi, has expressed concern over the recent tensions along the Pakistan Afghanistan border today, on Friday.
He said that the situation is being closely monitored by the provincial government.
Chief Minister Afridi emphasised that protecting every inch of Pakistan is a national duty. He also warned that no compromise will be made on the security of border areas.
He strongly condemned any provocation or external aggression along the border. CM KP Sohail Afridi stressed that national security will not be compromised.
