After petrol, jet fuel and kerosene prices also rise

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the prices of jet fuel and kerosene by Rs9.05 and Rs7.68 per litre, respectively.

According to media reports, following the latest adjustment, the price of jet fuel has been fixed at Rs355.52 per litre, while kerosene will now cost Rs329.54 per litre.

The latest increase comes after OGRA revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism for the period from October 3 to October 5, 2026.

According to OGRA’s notification, the price of petrol was increased by Rs2.10 per litre, taking the new price to Rs392.76 per litre.

The price of high-speed diesel was also raised by 30 paisas per litre, bringing it to Rs399.64 per litre.

The authority said petroleum product prices are determined after reviewing international market rates and other relevant factors.

Crude oil prices in international market

According to international news agencies, investors are closely monitoring the possibility of escalating tensions involving Iran, improvements in regional oil supplies and efforts to address the global diesel shortage.

Brent crude oil rose by 29 cents, reaching $102.60 per barrel in the international market.

Meanwhile, the price of US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude increased by 27 cents to $93.14 per barrel.

Market participants continue to monitor developments in the Middle East as well as changes in global oil demand and supply.
