Web desk: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Wednesday nominated Chaudhry Yasin as its candidate for Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister.
A no-confidence motion is expected soon against the current Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Anwarul Haq.
Party sources said the PPP’s central leadership made the decision after detailed consultations. Yasin, who is the President of PPP’s AJK chapter, was chosen for the top post.
The decision was finalised during a meeting at Zardari House, where PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari officially announced Yasin’s name, according to the sources.
Earlier, the names of Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Faisal Rathore, and Sardar Yaqub were also discussed for the position.
