A new brand, ALEKTRA, has introduced a small category electric vehicle (EV) in Pakistan, priced at just Rs 10.45 lakh, aiming to make EV ownership affordable for the masses.
The vehicle is technically a quadricycle which is smaller than an A-segment car like the famous Suzuki Alto but it still offers the basics of a car.
Which includes four seats, four wheels, a closed cabin, air-conditioning (heating and cooling), a music system with Bluetooth, and simple R-N-D gear selection.
It is designed mainly for city use with a top speed of 45–50 km/h.
ALEKTRA does not manufacture the vehicle itself. Instead, it white-labels a Chinese made model commonly sold on Alibaba. Then imports it with its own badge, offering official sales, support, and a 2-year battery and motor warranty.
The EV comes with three lithium battery options, 7.2 kWh, 10.8 kWh, and 12.96 kWh. Offering an estimated range between 80 and 180 km, depending on the variant. Furthermore, charging takes 5 to 7 hours on a 220V home socket.
Features in the car include alloy rims, reverse camera, anti-theft alarm, remote start, and multiple color options such as white, cream, pink, yellow, red, and blue.
The vehicle is available for booking and test drives at ALEKTRA’s showroom at Liberty Parking Plaza, Lahore, with delivery promised within 90 days.
