‘So-called seniors’? Alizeh Shah calls out Saba Faisal, Nida Yasir

Web desk: The entertainment industry is buzzing after Alizeh Shah openly criticised her seniors, Saba Faisal and Nida Yasir.

In a fiery Instagram story, Alizeh Shah went after industry veterans Saba Faisal and Nida Yasir, showing no fear of backlash.

The young star did not hold back while slamming veteran celebrities for their recent controversies, calling out what she sees as their problematic behaviour and questionable ethics.

‘Saba aunty, karma is a bad thing’

Addressing Saba Faisal, who apologised for her remarks about brides choosing wedding outfits, Alizeh wrote a sarcastic post.

She even referenced their past work together.

“Sorry, Saba aunty, karma is a very bad thing. Even after doing two serials together, you didn’t find me natural. I hope now everything is clear to you,” she wrote.

Alizeh Shah exposes Nida Yasir, Yasir Nawaz’s ‘shady’ practices

Alizeh then targeted host Nida Yasir. Nida faced backlash for her negative comments about food delivery riders.

“Nida aunty, you also learned this habit of not paying people their rightful money from Yasir uncle, right?” Alizeh wrote, referring to Nida’s husband, director Yasir Nawaz.

‘Two-penny show’

She also called out repeated attempts to invite her on shows without proper payment.

“And please don’t have your assistant repeatedly invite me to your two-penny show where artists don’t even get paid,” she added.

Alizeh concluded by praising the backlash both celebrities faced.

“So happy to see these so-called seniors getting what they deserve,” she wrote.

The remarks come after controversies involving both Saba and Nida.

Saba was criticised for saying mothers-in-law should control daughters-in-law’s wedding outfits.

Alizeh also hinted at past tensions with Yasir Nawaz. The director had said he struggled while working with her in the serial Mera Dil Mera Dushman.

Nida had also claimed on a talk show that Yasir did not find enough chemistry with Alizeh during the shoot.

Nida Yasir controversy

The controversy started earlier this week when Nida Yasir discussed food delivery riders on her morning show, Good Morning Pakistan.

She accused riders of lying about not having change to get extra money as tips.

“Food delivery riders never seem to have change. If you tip them out of your own will, that’s completely fine, but when they falsely claim they don’t have change, I always ask my driver to go and get it,” Nida said on the show.

She added, “When they’re made to wait and end up reaching their next deliveries late, then they understand. It has become a habit with many of them.”

Actress Nadia Khan and other guests nodded and joked, sharing similar experiences.

“Delivery may be late, but humanity shouldn’t”

Soon, television host Fiza Ali spoke out against Nida’s comments. She said tipping is not mandatory, but insulting someone is completely wrong.

“They ride through heavy rain, storms, and harsh weather just so our food reaches us,” Fiza said.

She questioned whether people ever think about the families waiting at home. “Some mother must be waiting for her son. A child must be hoping his father comes home early. Many riders have only one bike, their only means of livelihood,” she added.

Fiza stressed that riders are humans, not machines. “Riders are not machines. They are humans with feelings and responsibilities.

If you show kindness today, Allah will help you in your difficult moments tomorrow,” she said.

She also highlighted how people easily spend 500 rupees on food but hesitate to give even 20 rupees to riders.

“Delivery may be late, but humanity should never be late,” she said.

Nida Yasir apologises

After widespread backlash, Nida Yasir apologised on her morning show.

“A few days ago, during my programme, I shared my personal experience with you, an experience that was not pleasant. But my mistake was my choice of words, the way I chose to retell that experience,” she said.

She explained she should have said “some people” instead of speaking broadly. “There are so many riders; in fact, the majority of the riders are working very hard to make ends meet. I am not sitting here to hurt anybody,” she added.

“However many rider friends of mine were hurt, I want to apologise to them. I salute hardworking riders. I didn’t mean to make light of their struggles,” she concluded.
