The government of Sindh has planned to deploy heavy security for moving the accused drug queen Anmol, also known as Pinky.

Authorities in Karachi have introduced extensive security arrangements for the movement and custody of accused Anmol aka Pinky, amid what police described as a sensitive security situation.

According to officials, more than 40 police personnel have been assigned to the operation, including senior officers, station house officers and female police staff working in shifts.

Police said surveillance is being maintained through continuous CCTV monitoring of the lock-up area, nearby surroundings and entry and exit routes. Snipers have also been positioned on rooftops around the area as an added precaution.

Additional police officers have been deployed at roads leading to Baghdadi Police Station, while movement near the court and lock-up has been restricted to authorised individuals.

Officials said all food delivered to the accused is being checked before entry, and backup generators have been kept operational to avoid disruptions in case of power outages.

The security operation is being supervised by the SP Lyari, who is overseeing the transfer of the accused to and from court hearings. Officers from Baghdadi, Risala and Garden police stations have also been assigned responsibilities as part of the wider deployment.

Police said special quick response teams remain on alert to deal with any emergency situation, while personnel have been instructed to immediately report suspicious activity.

A separate escort squad has also been formed for court appearances, reflecting heightened security concerns linked to the case.
