Sindh Minister for Universities and Board Ismail Rahu has said that there will be no exams in Sindh during the Holi and Easter festivals. He has instructed all the education boards not to conduct exams on Holi and Easter days.
The Sindh government took this initiative to enhance interfaith harmony as well as facilitate minority students and teachers in the province.
According to the instructions given by the minister to all education boards, there will be no exams during the Easter days from April 2 to April 6. The minister also said that all the postponed exams will resume on April 7.
Chief Minister (CM) Sindh Murad Ali Shah approved the application to postpone the exams in Sindh by the principal of St Patrick’s High School Karachi, Ismail Rahu confirmed.
The minister also remarked that CM Murad Ali Shah approved the application to postpone the exams during Holi and Easter to facilitate the minority students and teachers in Sindh, adding that this initiative will promote interfaith harmony.
Revised exams schedule
All the education boards have been directed by the Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards to make a revised schedule to keep the students and parents informed. He also urged chairpersons of all boards to submit the report after completing the given task.
The initiative to postpone the exams has been taken to respect minorities in the province.
