Armed Forces congratulate the nation on Pakistan Day

On the occasion of the 86th anniversary of Pakistan Day, the Armed Forces of Pakistan have conveyed their sincere congratulations to the nation.

In their messages on Pakistan Day, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff, together with Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, expressed their heartfelt congratulations to the nation.

In light of Pakistan Day, Chiefs of the Armed Forces said, “The 23rd of March 1940 is a significant date in our history, marking the day that solidified our collective vision and charted the path for the establishment of an independent homeland. Grounded in faith, inspired by hope, and fortified by resilience, this day symbolises the steadfast determination of the people of Pakistan. By the grace of Almighty Allah, our nation continues to advance under the banner of democracy, upholding the timeless principles of Islam.”

“With unwavering determination and divine guidance, Pakistan remains committed to reinforcing its democratic institutions, ensuring national security, and protecting the welfare of its citizens.”, the Chiefs said.

“During a time when our nation continues to face the challenges of terrorism and extremism, the Armed Forces of Pakistan, along with our resilient people and law enforcement agencies, stand united and steadfast in our commitment to eliminate the threats to Pakistan’s security,” they added further.

Pakistan Day parade canceled

Earlier, in a statement, the PMO stated that the parade and related ceremonial events will not be held this year in light of the Gulf oil crisis and the need to reduce expenses.

However, the day will still be observed with dignity through simple flag hoisting ceremonies at appropriate levels.
