Rumours and fake news have been circulating on social media, claiming that the government has been given a six-month ultimatum by the army.
It is pertinent to mention that these claims lack any credible sources and have no basis in reality.
According to our highly placed sources, this is false information.
There is no rift or disagreement between the army and the government, they remain united as a strong and cohesive team. This team stands firm against anyone attempting to disturb Pakistan’s stability.
Journalist Hassan Ayub Khan also said Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif are one strong team.
The journalist added that both the Field Marshal and the Prime Minister are working on projects aimed at benefiting Pakistan.
“Some people are trying to create a rift between the two,” he noted.
He stressed that the relationship between the government and the military, as it stands today, will remain the same in the days ahead.
The journalist dismissed rumours about differences between the two.
Earlier, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) spokesperson confirmed that there is complete harmony between the federal government and security institutions, leaving no room for confusion.
