Web desk: Punjab’s Asaan Karobar Finance Scheme has entered a major new phase, with the provincial government announcing expanded interest-free loans aimed at strengthening small and medium enterprises.
A meeting chaired by Punjab Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafie Hussain reviewed in detail the ongoing development schemes of the Punjab Small Industries Corporation and assessed their progress.
It is an important development for individuals who are seeking loans under the Punjab Asaan Karobar Finance Scheme.
Asaan Karobar Finance Scheme
The CM Punjab Asaan Karobar Finance Scheme grants interest-free loans to help the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the province.
The project is designed to enhance economic development through the promotion of entrepreneurship, employment and export promotion, with particular emphasis on priority sectors.
The session also examined the advancements made in the second phase of the Chief Minister’s Punjab Asaan Karobar Finance Scheme.
During the meeting, the Managing Director of the Punjab Small Industries Corporation presented a comprehensive briefing on various development projects and financing initiatives.
On this occasion, Chaudhry Shafie Hussain stated that the Punjab Asaan Karobar Finance Scheme has played a significant role in promoting small and medium enterprises across the province.
Following the successful completion of the scheme’s first phase, the second phase has now commenced. Which is expected to further accelerate business activity.
He noted that interest-free loans ranging from Rs 1 million to Rs 30 million are being offered under the scheme. While interest-free financing of up to Rs 50 million is being provided under the Chief Minister’s Asaan Karobar Export Finance for SMEs Scheme.
The Minister of Industries and Commerce also indicated that such initiatives will be a strategic step in enhancing economic operations within the province and empowering the SME sector.
He stated that he is hopeful that the financial assistance programmes will assist in creating new job opportunities. And enhancing a better business climate.
