Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Monday praised the security forces for carrying out a successful intelligence-based operation in Bajaur, during which five Indian-sponsored terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij were killed.
In a statement issued by the National Assembly Secretariat, Ayaz Sadiq commended the professionalism, bravery, and effective planning of the security forces. He said their timely action foiled the dangerous plans of Indian-backed proxy elements and showed Pakistan’s strong resolve to fight terrorism.
He added that such operations reflect the firm commitment of Pakistan’s security institutions to protect the country and its people.
The Speaker also paid tribute to Major Adeel Zaman, who was martyred while leading the operation. He said the nation was proud of the officer’s sacrifice and honoured his courage in laying down his life for the defence of the country.
“The sacrifices of our martyrs ensure peace and stability in Pakistan,” Ayaz Sadiq said. He added that the security forces and law enforcement agencies stood united against terrorism and would continue their efforts until it is completely eliminated.
Ayaz Sadiq expressed deep condolences to the family of Shaheed Major Adeel Zaman and said he shared their grief. He prayed for the martyr’s high rank in the hereafter and for patience and strength for the bereaved family.
Reaffirming his full support for the armed forces, the Speaker said Pakistan’s security forces remain determined to defeat Indian-backed terrorist groups and ensure lasting peace across the country.
