Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari and PTI activist Falak Javed exchanged heated remarks during court proceedings in the case involving an alleged fake video of Bukhari.
During the exchange, Bukhari told Falak Javed that no one should tell her what statement she should give in court.
“No one should tell me what statement I have to give. I am a lawyer myself,” Bukhari said.
The provincial minister also accused Javed of being a liar, saying, “You are a lying woman. Your actions are not right.”
Bukhari further referred to Javed as an accused who had come from jail and criticised her language.
When Falak Javed responded, Bukhari told her to remain silent.
Javed, however, replied that she could not remain silent when the matter concerned her honour.
The exchange took place during the hearing of the case and led to a tense atmosphere in the courtroom.
Today, a hearing was held in the case concerning a fake video allegedly involving Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari.
Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo presided over the proceedings, during which Azma Bukhari appeared before the court and addressed the judge from the rostrum.
“I want to say two or three things, if you allow me,” Bukhari told the court.
Clarifying her position in the case, she said, “I am not the accused in this case; I am the complainant.”
Bukhari said she had been wronged and that the circulation of the fake video had caused her severe distress.
“An injustice has been done to me. You know what I have been going through,” she said.
She told the court that a YouTuber had posted on social media that arrest warrants had been issued for her. She demanded that the court establish when the warrants were allegedly issued.
