Babar Azam Joins Elite List of Pakistani Batsmen with 15,000 International Runs

Web desk: Pakistan cricket team’s star batsman Babar Azam has achieved another major milestone in international cricket.

In the third ODI against South Africa, Babar completed 15,000 runs across formats, becoming the fifth Pakistani batsman to reach this landmark.

The right-handed batsman accomplished the feat in 370 international innings, surpassing two Indian batsmen within just two days.

Babar has so far scored 4,366 runs in Tests, 6,330-plus runs in ODIs, and 4,302 runs in T20 Internationals.

Throughout his illustrious career, the Pakistani skipper has registered 31 centuries and 104 half-centuries in international cricket.

Among Pakistan’s all-time greats, Inzamam-ul-Haq leads with 20,541 runs, followed by Younis Khan (17,790), Mohammad Yousuf (17,134), and Javed Miandad (16,213).

Pakistan Clinch ODI Series Win Against South Africa in Faisalabad

The Pakistan cricket team secured victory in the One-Day International (ODI) series against South Africa after winning the final match at Iqbal Stadium on Saturday.

South Africa, after winning the toss and opting to bat first, struggled to build momentum.

Captain Matthew Breetzke and Nqabayomzi Peter were the top scorers with 16 runs each. And Tony de Zorzi managed 2, Robin Hermann 1, Donovan Ferreira 7. Corbin Bosch was dismissed without scoring.

For Pakistan, Abrar Ahmed delivered an exceptional bowling performance, claiming four wickets. He also earned the Man of the Match award. Quinton de Kock was named the Player of the Series for his consistent performances.

Pakistan comfortably chased down the target, reaching 144 runs in 25.1 overs for the loss of three wickets, sealing a dominant series triumph.
