Pakistani cricketers, including skipper Babar Azam, paid homage to the legendary batsman Inzamam-ul-Haq by taking a picture with his portrait at the renowned Lord’s Cricket Ground on Wednesday before the second Test against England.
The portrait of former Pakistan skipper Inzamam, which is hanging in the Lord’s Pavilion and is part of the famous Lord’s collection, has been on display for over a decade for his exceptional services to the game of cricket.
Inzamam played 120 Tests, 378 ODIs and one T20 for Pakistan and is among the nation’s best batters to have played.

At Lord’s, the Pakistani players stopped to recognise the former captain’s legacy during the country’s training session.
The nephew of Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam, and a number of Pakistan players were seen posing with the portrait on Lord’s Cricket Ground in a social media post.
Inzamam is one of the most famous cricketers in Pakistan and in 2019 he was conferred honorary life membership of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) for his services to the game.
He retired as one of Pakistan’s top run-scoring players in international cricket, leaving behind legends like Javed Miandad and Saeed Anwar.
The tribute arrives at a sensitive time during the Pakistan tour of England. The visitors had a heavy innings and were beaten by 103 runs in the opening Test at Leeds and now have a must-win match at Lord’s to level the series.
The final Test will be played next month in Birmingham.
Pakistani fans have fond memories of Lord’s as they won Test matches in 2016 and 2018.
They beat England by 75 runs in 2016 and then knocked down the England batters in a spectacular fashion in 2018.
