Bajaur Press Club has released a statement regarding an Afghan assault on a local house in Bajaur’s Salarzai area, criticising the provincial government’s silence on the attack which claimed the lives of four brothers, leaving one individual injured.
The statement said, “We strongly condemn this cowardly and painful incident and express our heartfelt sympathy and deep condolences to the families of the martyrs.”
“We thank the Government of Pakistan for immediately expressing its position on this incident and issuing a condolence statement. However, it is very sad that no official condolence statement has been issued by the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa so far, which is not only worrying but also regrettable.”, the statement continued.

In view of the Salarzai attack, the Bajaur Press Club further said, “On behalf of the Bajaur Press Club, we want to clearly state that we stand with our brave Pakistani forces. We are confident that the Pakistani forces will definitely take account of the blood of our innocent brothers and effective and concrete steps will be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.”
“May Allah grant the martyrs a high place in Paradise and grant the injured a speedy full recovery. Amen.”, it added.
