Bangladesh Air Force Chief calls on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir

Chief of Air Staff, Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ here on Thursday at General Headquarters (GHQ).

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security dynamics and avenues for enhancing bilateral defence and military cooperation were discussed, said a news release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Both sides underscored the importance of strengthening professional collaboration, training exchanges and defence ties between the Armed Forces of Pakistan and Bangladesh. The visiting dignitary lauded the professionalism of Pakistan Armed Forces and appreciated their contributions towards regional peace and stability.

Meanwhile a day earlier Chief of Air Staff, Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan has expressed interest in benefiting from Pakistan Air Force’s operational expertise with Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu.

The visiting dignitary praised PAF’s combat record and sought assistance in maintenance support for Bangladesh Air Force’s aging fleet and integration of air defence radar systems to enhance air surveillance . Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu briefed the visiting dignitary on PAF’s recent advancements.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting Bangladesh Air Force through a comprehensive training framework from basic to advanced flying and specialized courses across PAF institutions.

Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu also assured fast-tracked delivery of Super Mushshak trainer aircraft, along with a complete training and long-term support ecosystem.
