Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, Chief of the Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force, visited the National Defence University (NDU) in Islamabad on Thursday, said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The Air Force Chief of Bangladesh is also an alumnus of the National Security and War Course (2010/11).
During his visit, he called on Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar, HI (M), President of NDU.
The meeting highlighted the importance of military-to-military engagement.
Especially in the areas of professional military education and joint training initiatives.
Officials noted that the visit reflects the long-standing historical ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
It underscores both countries’ shared commitment to enhancing defence cooperation and professional military collaboration, the statement read.
CDF COAS Field Marshal Asim Munir
Previously, Chief of Air Staff, Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ here on Thursday at General Headquarters (GHQ).
According to a news release by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting focused on issues of mutual interest, regional security, and ways to strengthen defence and military cooperation.
Both sides highlighted the importance of professional collaboration, training exchanges, and closer defence ties between the armed forces of Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The visiting dignitary praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces. And acknowledged their efforts in maintaining regional peace and stability.
