The Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has invited people from all over Pakistan to celebrate Basant 2027. The dates for the Basant 2027 festival in Lahore have also been announced.
When will Basant 2027 be celebrated?
Maryam Nawaz said that Lahore will once again become a centre of colours, culture and celebrations in March 2027. She said music shows and cultural activities will also be held during the festival.
According to her statement, the three-day festival will be held on March 12, 13 and 14, 2027.
Invitation to youth and visitors
The CM has invited young people from Punjab and other parts of Pakistan to join the celebrations. She encouraged them to come together and enjoy the festival in Lahore.
“ Lahore will once again come alive with colour, culture, festivity, music, and legendary hospitality,” she said.
She also invited overseas Pakistanis and international visitors to attend Basant Lahore 2027. She asked people to save March 12, 13 and 14 for the event.
“To the youth of Punjab and Pakistan, this celebration is for you; come together, create memories, and make Lahore shine with your energy and spirit!” she stated.
“To our overseas Pakistanis and international guests, mark your calendars and come home to the warmth, colours and festivities of Lahore,” the CM further added.
Maryam Nawaz said Lahore will once again come alive with colours, culture, music and traditional hospitality.
She said she is looking forward to Basant 2027 and hopes the celebrations will become a memorable event.
Have the preparations for Basant 2027 begun?
Preparations for Basant 2027 have begun in Lahore, with the Punjab government directing the city administration to finalise arrangements and prepare a schedule for the festival.
Authorities are also considering opening registration for kite manufacturers in October and ensuring the availability of kites and strings.
Consultations with the Kite Association are also expected as part of the preparations.
