BCB is actively working to improve its ties with the Indian cricket board. In the letter, the BCB expressed interest in expanding cooperation with the BCCI in both new and existing areas.
Speaking to Indian media, BCB Director of Cricket Operations Nazmul Abedin Fahim said that they remain in regular contact with various cricket boards and, as part of these efforts, have also written to the BCCI.
He stated that the letter mentioned the upcoming Indian team tour of Bangladesh in September, followed by a planned tour of India by the Bangladesh women’s team. He added that the BCB has requested the BCCI to explore additional opportunities for bilateral cricket.
It is worth noting that relations between the two boards deteriorated significantly after Bangladeshi bowler Mustafizur Rahman was expelled from the IPL, and Bangladesh subsequently refused to participate in the T20 World Cup in India.
