Benazir Income Support Programme raises payments ahead of Ramazan

Benazir Income Support

The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has announced a major increase in financial assistance for eligible women ahead of Ramazan, offering relief to thousands of families across the country.

During a live e-court session at the BISP headquarters, Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid confirmed that the government has raised the quarterly payment under the Benazir Khawateen Kafalat Programme. Under the revised plan, each beneficiary will now receive Rs14,500, reflecting an increase of Rs1,000.

Authorities have also increased payments under the Benazir Educational Scholarships and Benazir Nashonuma Programmes. Officials raised these stipends by Rs500 to provide additional support to mothers and children, especially to help families manage rising expenses before Ramazan.

Speaking at the session, Senator Khalid directed officials to ensure that women receive their full payments without any deductions. She warned that no agent or staff member should cut any amount from the beneficiaries’ share.

She also advised women facing payment issues or deductions to immediately contact the BISP helpline at 0800-26477 or visit their nearest BISP office to register complaints.

The increase in payments aims to support low-income families struggling with inflation and higher household costs. With Ramazan approaching, the government says it wants to ensure that deserving women receive timely and complete financial assistance.

BISP continues to expand its support network across Pakistan, focusing on women’s welfare, children’s education, and maternal health through its various programmes.
