The government has shared updated details about the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program regarding the new eligibility conditions, registration steps, and payment amounts on Friday.

The scholarship program operates under the Benazir Income Support Program.

Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program

The main aim of this program is to help children from low income families continue their education. It also seeks to reduce the number of students who leave school early.

Under this program, students from the primary level to the higher secondary level will receive financial support every three months.

According to the details this assistance will help cover education expenses and encourage parents to keep their children in school.

Eligibility criteria

To join the program, some basic conditions must be met. The child’s mother must already be registered in the Benazir Kafalat Program. The child must also have a valid NADRA issued B Form.

There are specific age limits for each education level. For primary education, the child should be between 4 and 12 years old.

And, for secondary education, the age range is 8 to 18 years. For higher secondary education, students between 13 and 22 years can apply.

How to register?

The registration process involves a few steps. Parents must visit the nearest BISP tehsil office with their child and the child’s B Form.

The staff will provide an enrollment slip. This slip must be taken to the child’s school and filled out by the headmaster or class teacher.

The school must also stamp the form. After that, the completed slip must be submitted again at the BISP office. Once this process is completed, the stipend will be issued.

How much will you receive?

The government has set different payment amounts for boys and girls. Girls receive slightly higher support to encourage their education.

At the primary level, girls will get 3000 rupees and boys will get 2500 rupees every three months.

Additionally, at the secondary level, girls will receive 4000 rupees, and boys will get 3500 rupees.

At the higher secondary level, girls will be given 5000 rupees while boys will receive 4500 rupees.

In addition, girls who complete primary education will receive a special graduation bonus of 3000 rupees.
