Big cricket action ahead: South Africa reveals 2026-27 home schedule

Cricket South Africa has announced its schedule for the 2026-27 home season, set to welcome some of the world’s top cricket teams.

The season will kick off with a three-match ODI series against Australia from September 24 to 30, followed by a crucial three-match Test series between the two nations from October 9 to 31.

South Africa will also host England and Bangladesh during this home season. The series against Bangladesh will consist of two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20 matches, allowing fans to watch cricket in all formats.

The series against England includes three Tests and three ODIs and is considered an important part of the season.

According to cricket experts, this full schedule will help the South African team improve its preparations for international competitions, while fans are looking forward to thrilling matches.

On the other hand, in the ICC T20 World Cup Super Eight stage, talented South Africa easily defeated India by 76 runs.

Earlier, South Africa endured a shaky start against India in their Super Eights encounter at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup; however, it managed to score 187-7 in the first inning.

After being put in to bat, the Proteas hoped for a solid foundation from openers Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram. However, neither batter was able to settle at the crease, as India’s disciplined bowling attack struck early blows to put South Africa on the back foot.

De Kock, known for his aggressive stroke play at the top of the order, struggled to find fluency before departing cheaply. Markram, leading the side, also failed to convert his start, leaving the middle order with the task of rebuilding the innings under pressure.
