Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has denied reports about his engagement or marriage in a video message.
Bilawal clarified that neither has anything been finalised nor has he gotten engaged.
He said social media had already got him engaged and married despite nothing actually happening.
“Social media has finalised my marriage, got me engaged and even married me. None of this has happened,” Bilawal said. “I don’t know a Princess Gloria,” he added.
Bilawal said that social media fuss is created so attention can be diverted from real problems. He further added that if any such decision regarding his life is taken, it will be from his family. “Till then focus on real issues,” he said.
Earlier, Mayor of Karachi Muratza Wahab also denied the rumours. Taking to social media platform X, formerly Twitter, he said that the news story regarding Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s engagement or wedding is incorrect and unfounded.
Who is Bilawal Bhutto’s bride as per social media claims?
Some reports claim that Bilawal Bhutto may marry a woman from Austria’s former royal family. The woman has been named as Gloria von Habsburg.
She is reportedly from the former Austrian royal family. However, there is no official confirmation of these claims.
Reports say she is the great-great-granddaughter of Karl I. He was the last Emperor of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
His rule ended after World War I. He later died in exile at the age of 34 after facing financial problems.
The marriage rumours became stronger after President Asif Ali Zardari reportedly visited Austria on a private trip.
Some social media users linked his visit to Bilawal’s reported engagement or marriage. However, there is no official confirmation of this claim either.
Some reports also claim that the wedding could take place in Vienna if the marriage goes ahead.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the Pakistan Peoples Party have not officially announced any details about his marriage date or venue.
Social media and some reports continue to make claims about Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s engagement and marriage.
However, these claims have now been denied by Bilawal himself. The Karachi Mayor has also denied the reports.
