PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has welcomed talks between the government and the opposition aimed at resolving political issues. In a message on X, Bilawal expressed hope that the negotiations would succeed and that the opposition would unconditionally call off its long march.

He said he was pleased that the government had accepted the PPP’s proposal to seek political solutions to political problems and engage with the opposition through political means to resolve the issues.

Bilawal said the challenge of terrorism had become an existential threat to Pakistan, particularly amid what he described as active support for terrorist groups from neighbouring countries. He expressed hope that the talks would succeed, leading to the unconditional withdrawal of the opposition’s long march.

He also hoped that the negotiations would conclude with a commitment to unite the nation in combating terrorism and addressing threats posed by neighbouring countries. Bilawal said the PPP had been combating terrorism through all constitutional means and would continue to do so in the future.
