Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has stressed that the international community has no alternative to peace and must ensure the success of “Plan A” at all costs.
Speaking in an interview with British television, Bilawal said the ongoing conflict between the US and Iran could have “disastrous consequences” for the entire world.
He further stated that after a month of diplomatic efforts, a ceasefire has been reached between the United States and Iran, marking a significant step toward de-escalation. Bilawal reiterated that global powers must remain committed to diplomacy and stability in the region.

He further said that US President Donald Trump has agreed to and ratified the ceasefire, and that Iran’s 10-point proposal has been made the basis for negotiations, although differences still remain on some points.
Bilawal noted that the bombing in Iran and retaliatory actions in the region have stopped, and Pakistan hopes that existing trust deficits can be bridged. He also highlighted that the recent conflict has resulted in loss of human lives and is negatively impacting the global economy.
Responding to questions and speculation about a possible Nobel Peace Prize nomination, he said that their priority is not any award, but the establishment of lasting peace in the region.
He reiterated that the international community must not consider any alternative to peace and must fully commit to making “Plan A” a success.
