The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has made it mandatory for teachers to mark their attendance through a biometric system in all educational institutions across the province.
According to official sources, teachers will now be required to ensure their attendance using biometric verification instead of traditional methods. The new system has been introduced to improve transparency, accountability, and discipline within the education sector.
Under the new policy, teachers must complete their attendance process within a specified time frame. Failure to comply with the biometric attendance requirement may result in disciplinary action.
Authorities say the move aims to ensure that teachers are present in classrooms on time. The system is expected to enhance overall performance and efficiency in government schools.
Officials further stated that strict monitoring will be carried out to ensure full implementation of the directive, and no leniency will be shown in cases of non-compliance.
