Blast Near Police Mobile in Peshawar Injures 4

Web desk: A blast occurred near a police mobile within the jurisdiction of Bhana Mari police station on Thursday.

According to reports, the incident took place near Qamar Din Chowk, where the police vehicle was targeted with an improvised explosive device (IED).

CCPO Peshawar, Dr Mian Saeed Ahmed, said the mobile was on routine patrol when the explosion took place, injuring four policemen.

The injured officers were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Following the blast, police and security forces cordoned off the area and began collecting evidence from the scene. The incident sparked panic among local residents.

Heavy contingents of police later reached the site, while emergency medical assistance was being provided to the injured.

Four policemen were injured after an explosive device (IED) went off near a police mobile in Peshawar’s Bhana Mari locality.

Officials said the vehicle was on a routine patrol when the blast occurred. Security forces quickly sealed off the area following the explosion.

The wounded officers were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police stated that bomb disposal and investigation teams reached the site soon after the attack and began collecting evidence. The device had been planted along the patrol route.
