Former world champion British boxer of Pakistani origin Amir Khan has filed a defamation lawsuit against lawyer Faryal Hussain over allegations she made against him and his wife.
In a 2023 podcast, Faryal Hussain made allegations against Amir Khan and his wife. The couple strongly denied the claims, describing them as false and malicious.
Amir Khan and his wife are now seeking £100,000 in damages from Hussain. According to reports, Faryal Hussain has submitted a 21-page defence statement to the High Court in London.
British media reports state that the defence documents contain allegations that Amir Khan and his wife made threats. The documents also accuse Khan of sending inappropriate messages to a woman via social media.
In addition, Hussain alleges that Khan secretly recorded a video of an alleged encounter with a woman. The case is now before the court, where the allegations and defamation claims will be examined.
According to judicial sources and British media reports, the former world champion will now have to respond to these allegations in court as legal proceedings continue. The court will examine the claims and evidence presented by both sides before reaching any conclusions.
