Famous actress Bushra Ansari’s daughter, Nariman Ansari recently opened up about her father’s endless support for her mother in the 80s and 90s.
During an interview with Nida Yasir on her YouTube series, Beyghum Begums, Nariman shared, “I really respect my father being so progressive toward my mother. She was working with other producers in different cities too. Even when she was doing a live show or performance where she sang, it was not easy in the 80s or 90s for a man to say, ‘okay, it’s fine’.”
“In fact, he would encourage her and tell her to try acting as well. My mother acted in her first drama secretly with him before she got married. He would even tell her to also become a talk show host”, she added.
While talking about her father, Nariman Ansari said, “He was interested in her artistic journey and I respect that even though their marriage didn’t work out.”
Bushra Ansari was previously married to Iqbal Ansari, who was a successful director and producer at PTV. In contrast, Bushra is a legendary actress.
At 70, she remains an icon and continues to be relevant in the Pakistani drama industry.
She has often mentioned that her first marriage was quite challenging, and the couple eventually divorced after their daughters had grown up.
