Bushra Bibi meets daughter, sister-in-law

Bushra Bibi's daughter, sister-in-law meet Imran Khan

Bushra Bibi met with her daughter and sister-in-law in Adiala Jail today, on Tuesday.

After the meeting, Bushra Bibi’s daughter and sister-in-law left Adiala Jail.

The two daughters of PTI founder’s wife, Bushra Bibi, were allowed to meet her at Adiala Jail.

The daughters, Mehar un Nisa and Mubashira, entered Adiala Jail through Gate No. 5 to meet their mother.

The family meeting with Bushra Bibi concluded after some time, following which her family members departed from the jail premises.

According to the reports, after the meeting, Bushra Bibi’s family conveyed her message to PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan.

It was conveyed that Imran Khan’s health is better now than before. Adding that he was taken to PIMS Hospital at his own request.

Bushra Bibi is the wife of the former prime minister of Pakistan and the founder of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan.

Previously, PTI’s founding chairman, Imran Khan, was shifted from Adiala jail to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, popularly known as PIMS.

The shift was for an eye procedure on his own request, according to the Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar on Tuesday.

Speaking on the floor of the upper house of parliament, Tarar stated the eye procedure could have been carried out at the Adiala jail hospital.

He added that Imran Khan himself asked to be taken to PIMS for the medical treatment.

Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi seek permission

Prior to this, a local court in Rawalpindi had issued a notice against the superintendent of Adiala Jail for not submitting the prescribed response to the petition filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi.

According to the court proceedings, Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi had filed an application seeking permission to undergo a medical examination by personal doctors in view of their health concerns.

On this matter, the court had sought a response from the superintendent of Adiala Jail.

However, neither the superintendent of the jail appeared in court on the prescribed date nor did he submit a written response, on which the court expressed its displeasure.

The court has issued a notice to the Superintendent of Adiala Jail, directing him to appear in court the next day and submit a written response to the petition along with a reply to the notice.

The court made it clear that negligence in implementing court orders cannot be ignored.

During the hearing, the petitioners’ lawyers took the position that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi should be allowed to undergo a medical examination by their personal doctors so that an accurate and transparent report regarding their health can be revealed.

According to the lawyers, a formal application was filed in this regard, in which a request was made to undergo a medical examination from Dr Yousuf, Dr Khurram and Dr Samina Niazi.

The court was told that a response had been sought earlier as well. But the jail authorities did not comply with the court order, due to which progress on the petition could not be made.

Taking this situation seriously, the court had given the Superintendent of Jail an opportunity to explain.
