Medical team visits Adiala jail

A four-member medical delegation from PIMS Hospital and Al-Shifa Eye Trust Hospital visited Adiala Jail to examine Bushra Bibi following complaints of vision problems.

According to jail sources, the team included Professor Nadeem Qureshi, Dr Muhammad Arif Khan, Dr Afaq Ahmed, and Dr Umar Farooq. According to details, the doctors conducted a comprehensive eye examination that lasted approximately two hours.

Officials said this is not the first time Bushra Bibi has undergone an eye check-up at Adiala Jail, as she had previously received medical attention for similar concerns.

On the other hand, PTI central leader Salman Akram Raja has rejected Aleema Khanum’s allegations and expressed strong anger over what he described as insulting positions.

According to media channel reports, the PTI leader stated that he does not want any position and had already resigned on his own. He added that, on instructions from the party founder, the three sisters came to his office and requested him to withdraw his resignation.

Salman Akram Raja said that the position was effectively imposed on him, and he does not wish to continue holding it. He also said he has conveyed a message to Aleema Khanum and wants his resignation to be submitted to her when he next meets the party founder.

Salman Akram Raja also said that Imran Khan had instructed him not to be subservient to Aleema Khanum in political decisions, emphasising that organising the party was the real need of the hour.
