Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing company, Build Your Dreams (BYD), has announced a limited-time offer for customers in Pakistan.
Under the promotion, buyers of any BYD vehicle will receive a free 7kW home charger.
The company said installation and applicable taxes will be charged separately.
Faster charging highlighted
BYD said the 7kW charger offers significantly shorter charging times compared to standard 2kW units.
Talking about fast charging, the BYD Atto 3 can be fully charged in around six to eight hours with the higher-capacity charger.
Using a standard charger, the same process could take close to a full day.
The offer applies to all BYD models currently available in Pakistan, though the company has not confirmed how long the promotion will remain in place.
The company has advised customers to check installation requirements and additional costs through official channels before making a purchase.
MG electric SUV spotted in Pakistan
Separately, a new electric SUV linked to MG has reportedly been seen in Pakistan.
According to local reports, the MG IM6 was spotted in a container, prompting speculation about a possible launch.
The IM6 is part of the IM (Intelligence in Motion) brand, developed through a joint venture involving SAIC Motor, Alibaba and Zhangjiang Hi-Tech.
Growing competition in EV segment
In international markets, the IM6 is positioned as a premium electric crossover and competes with models such as the Tesla Model Y.
If introduced locally, it would join a growing electric vehicle segment in Pakistan, where new entrants are expected in the coming months.
There has been no official confirmation regarding the launch timeline or pricing, but industry observers say the market is becoming increasingly competitive as more companies expand their electric vehicle offerings.
