Web desk: A case has been registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shandana Gulzar for making baseless allegations against state institutions and spreading fake news on social media.
The case was registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
According to sources, Shandana Gulzar is accused of making posts on social media platforms related to the arrest of Sanam Javed and other anti-state measures.
These posts included statements that were described as hateful and misleading against institutions.
According to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, Shandana Gulzar also shared several fake and fabricated news on social media, which caused incitement and misunderstanding among the public.
The agency has registered a formal FIR and started an investigation after these allegations.
According to a spokesperson for the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, this action is being taken against elements who deliberately spread false information on social media, run hate campaigns and defame state institutions.
The spokesperson said that the state has begun holding accountable individuals who spread rumours and fabricated stories that undermine the country’s stability.
