British rapper Central Cee, whose real name is Oakley Neil Caesar-Su, publicly announced that he has accepted Islam. He made this announcement during the livestream, saying, “I just changed my name and took my shahada, I am a Muslim now.”

The 27-year-old Central Cee also confirmed that he has changed his name after accepting Islam. He told the audience that his new muslim name is Aqeel. He recited Shahada – the Islamic declaration of faith – during the live stream, marking his official entry into Islam.

The revelation shows a major personal change for the singer, who has gained the popularity of millions of fans with his unique style and the lyrics people connect with. People present during the livestream congratulate him, but Central Cee did not discuss extra details about his faith journey.

Central Cee never discussed his religious beliefs openly before his recent announcement. However, social media users and his fans had guessed by noticing his previous post in the Arabic language.
Who is Central Cee?

Central Cee was born on June 4, 1998. He is a British rapper originally from  Shepherd’s Bush, London. His famous album is “Can’t Rush Greatness” and it was released on January 25, 2025.

He did collaborations with several famous artists, including Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Dave, Skepta, Young Miko, and Lil Durk.

According to social media, Central Cee was impressed by Islam as he posted several posts in the Arabic language. However, there is no confirmation about the individuals who taught Islam to him and invited him to accept Islam.
