Changan is set to unveil its much-anticipated UNI-S crossover in Pakistan in June 2026, marking the debut of the company’s UNI series in the local market.
According to the latest Upcoming Automobile Launch Tracker released by Arif Habib Limited (AHL), the Changan UNI-S is expected to be introduced in Pakistan next month. The crossover has already been showcased locally ahead of its official market launch.
The upcoming model is expected to strengthen Changan’s position in Pakistan’s growing crossover segment, where competition among automakers continues to intensify.
In international markets, the UNI-S is equipped with a 1.5-litre turbocharged BlueWhale petrol engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The powertrain delivers 178 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque.
While Changan has yet to reveal Pakistan-specific specifications, features, and pricing details, the UNI-S remains one of the most anticipated vehicle launches scheduled for 2026, according to AHL’s automobile launch tracker.
Changan UNI-S expected price in Pakistan
To compete with other popular well selling brands like Haval and Jetour, the expected price may be around Rs75 to 85 lakh.
The SUV is also expected to include modern features. It is expected to attract many buyers who are searching for a 1.5-litre turbo petrol option.
The name “UNI” comes from the word ‘Yinli’ or ‘引力’, as in Chinese. It means “gravity.”
Changan uses this idea to show attraction between the driver, the car, and future technology, reports say.
This is especially for targeting young and tech-focused buyers, reports add.
The “S” in the name is not officially confirmed. But it is believed to stand for Sport, Smart, or Superior, reports about the car say.
The SUV is also expected to have a smooth and modern design. The reports say that the design is ‘inspired’ by flowing water and soft curves.
Earlier reports emerged that Changan is getting ready to introduce its new SUV, called the Changan UNI-S, in Pakistan. The company has not yet shared the official price or booking details.
The UNI-S is said to be a high-level C-segment SUV. It is expected to be bigger than competitors like the Honda HR-V, Haval Jolion, and Jaecoo J5 in terms of size, which can prove to be a very useful feature.
Changan Automobile is one of China’s “Big Four” state-owned automotive groups. The headquarters for the company is in Chongqing, China.
It has a history tracing back to 1862, and it has evolved into a global player with 14 manufacturing bases and 34 plants worldwide, reports say.
