Chery Master Pakistan has reduced the price of its Tiggo 7 Super Hybrid to Rs9.499 million from Rs10.349 million, offering buyers an upfront saving of Rs850,000. The limited-stock promotion also includes a complimentary 7 kW home charger worth Rs100,000.
The company said the offer aims to help motorists cope with rising fuel costs by providing a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) that combines electric driving with petrol-powered performance.
The price reduction comes amid a nearly twofold increase in the applicable sales tax on PHEVs. However, owners can potentially lower their running expenses by charging the vehicle for daily travel.
According to the company, the Tiggo 7 Super Hybrid offers more than 90 kilometres of all-electric driving range and a combined range exceeding 1,200 kilometres. Under specific conditions, energy costs can be reduced by up to 94%, particularly when surplus solar electricity is used at an estimated rate of Rs11 per unit. Chery estimates monthly savings of Rs75,000 to Rs95,000 compared with a petrol vehicle travelling 20,000 kilometres annually.
The SUV is powered by Chery’s fifth-generation Super Hybrid system, featuring a 1.5-litre TGDI engine, an 18.3 kWh battery and a dedicated hybrid transmission. The combined output stands at 342 horsepower and 525 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in 8.4 seconds.
Inside, the five-seat vehicle features a 24.6-inch dual curved display, an eight-speaker Sony sound system, a panoramic sunroof and heated and ventilated front seats. Safety equipment includes eight airbags, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, driver fatigue monitoring and a claimed five-star safety rating.
Chery Master Pakistan currently operates 14 fully functional 3S dealerships nationwide and plans to expand the network to 20 by 2027. The company entered Pakistan through Master Auto Engineering, part of Master Group, in partnership with Chinese automaker Chery Automobile.
