Web desk: General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), has paid a farewell visit to Naval Headquarters (NHQ) in Islamabad, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in an official statement. Where during the visit he also met with Admiral Naveed Ashraf, NI, NI (M), Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS).
During the visit, the CJCSC praised the Pakistan Navy’s combat readiness and lauded its unwavering commitment to safeguarding the country’s maritime frontiers.
In turn, Admiral Ashraf expressed gratitude to the outgoing CJCSC for his key role in promoting joint operations and coordination among the Tri-Services.
On his arrival at NHQ, a smartly turned-out naval contingent presented a guard of honour to the CJCSC.
CJCSC Gen Sahir Shamshad Gets Saudi Top Honour
Previously, Pakistan’s Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, met with Saudi Arabia’s Chief of General Staff, General Fayaz bin Hamid Al-Ruwaili, during an official visit to the Kingdom.
During the visit, General Mirza was awarded the prestigious King Abdulaziz Medal of Honour of the Excellent Class in recognition of his distinguished services.
The Saudi military leadership also praised the professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
The two sides discussed regional and global security issues and explored ways to further enhance defence cooperation.
Both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening brotherhood and long-term defence relations.
The meeting highlighted the strong ties between the two countries and emphasised Pakistan’s military role in promoting regional peace and stability.
