CJCSC Gen Sahir Shamshad Mirza Meets Bangladesh Army Chief in Dhaka

Web desk: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI (M), met Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman during his official visit to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, as per an official statement of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

According to the ISPR, the meeting was held at the Army Headquarters in Dhaka, where both sides discussed regional and global security developments.

The two military leaders agreed to strengthen defence cooperation, including training exchanges, joint exercises, and sharing counterterrorism experiences.

They also highlighted the growing challenge of disinformation and emphasised the need for joint efforts to counter such threats.

Both sides appreciated the positive momentum in bilateral military ties and expressed commitment to continue regular high-level exchanges.

CJCSC General Sahir Shamshad Mirza Meets Maldivian Leadership

Prior to this, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), paid an official visit to the Maldives.

There he met President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, Defence Minister Mr Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon, and Chief of Defence Force Major General Ibrahim Hilmy.

During the meetings, both sides discussed the regional and global security environment.

Additionally, they also discussed matters of mutual interest, including defence and security cooperation.

They also agreed to enhance military-to-military engagements and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral defence ties.

The Maldivian leadership praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.

Earlier, upon his arrival at the Maldives National Defence Force Headquarters, General Mirza was presented with a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out contingent.
