Commander 12 Corps interact with locals during Besima City visit

On January 12, 2026, the Commander of 12 Corps, along with the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 33 Division, visited Besima City.

During the visit, they interacted with local stakeholders. This included traders, teachers, notables, and the youth of the area.

The locals expressed their appreciation to the Commander for engaging with the community during the visit.

They described the visit as a positive step towards building confidence, encouraging mutual trust, and addressing the concerns of the locals.

The Commander highlighted that the Army, in coordination with the civilian administration, is pursuing development projects in the area in order to improve facilities and quality of life for residents.

He also addressed attempts by Indian-sponsored terrorist groups to disrupt these steps.

Further emphasising that such propaganda is designed to destabilise peace in the region. And deprive locals of improved living standards.

He also assured the people that the Army will work with local security personnel and continue efforts to bring peace and prosperity to the region while countering hostile designs.

The Commander also listened to the problems of the locals and issued immediate orders to solve them.

273rd Corps Commanders’ Conference

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CDF), presided over the 273rd Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.

The conference began with Fateha for the Shuhada of the Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians who lost their lives in recent terrorist incidents while defending Pakistan against foreign-sponsored terrorism.

The Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, praised the courage, professionalism, and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

He also highlighted their success in intelligence-based counter-terrorism operations across the country.
