Canadian Prime Minister (PM) Mark Carney has condemned the Tarlai mosque blast, on the outskirts of Rawalpindi, on Friday.
He has expressed deep sorrow over the deadly bomb blast in the Tarlai region, which left at least 31 people dead and more than 150 injured.
In a post on social media, Prime Minister Carney said he was “horrified ” to learn about the attack.
“Horrified to learn of the bombing at a mosque that has killed at least 31 people, and injured over 150 more,” the Canadian PM stated.
He further added that the thoughts and sympathies of the Canadian people are with the people of Pakistan, the victims, the injured, and their families during this difficult time.
In his tweet, on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, he further stated, “Canadians are keeping the people of Pakistan, the victims, wounded, and their loved ones in our thoughts today.”
He strongly condemned the attack and extended condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. It has reaffirmed Canada’s solidarity with Pakistan in the wake of the tragic incident.

The identity of the suicide bomber involved in the Tarlai mosque blast on Friday has been confirmed, according to sources.
According to the sources, the suicide bomber received training for terrorist activities in Afghanistan.
The suicide bomber had travelled to Afghanistan multiple times and had returned from Afghanistan some time ago, sources further added.
Different terrorist groups based in Afghanistan, under the patronage of the Taliban regime. And it poses a threat to the security of the entire region, sources said.
There is a nexus between Afghanistan and India behind every terrorist attack in Pakistan, sources further say.
Additionally, the entire nation stands united together like a lead wall against such heinous and cowardly acts.
