Seven jawans martyred in DI Khan training center attack

Web desk: During the attack by Fitna-al-Khwarij on the Dera Ismail Khan Police Training Centre, the Imam of the mosque, Maulana Ismat Marwat, was also martyred while he was inside the mosque.

Six police personnel and 1 civilian were martyred, and 13 others were injured in the terrorist attack on the Police Training Centre in Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan) late Friday night. Six terrorists were killed in the retaliatory operation by security forces.

According to a police spokesperson, the attackers detonated explosives at the main gate of the training centre before opening heavy fire, causing significant casualties. The exchange of fire lasted for nearly two hours before the situation was brought under control.

These are the same Khawarij who previously attacked Ali Masjid, Kocha Risaldar, and the Police Lines Mosque, killing worshippers during prayers.

Observers say that they do not represent a religion. Their actions threaten the unity of the people. They reject the principles of peace and compassion.

Gandapur Attends Funeral Prayers

The funeral prayers for the personnel martyred in the terrorist attack on the DI Khan Police Training School were held at Police Lines.

A large number of people, including Ali Amin Gandapur, the Chief Secretary, IG Police, and other civil and military officials, attended.

Gandapur paid tribute to the martyrs, saying the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have always shown great courage, sacrifice, and commitment to duty.

He announced that, in addition to the special compensation package, the family of each martyred officer will receive Rs 10 million, while injured personnel will get Rs 5 million.

Gandapur also announced a reward of Rs 1 million for officers and soldiers who showed bravery during the operation.

He added that maintaining law and order is the government’s top priority, and practical steps are being taken to eliminate terrorism.

The government has also introduced special welfare packages for police and is providing modern equipment to strengthen the force.

Ali Amin Gandapur said, “We salute the courage and determination of our police force. Their bravery and sacrifices will always be a source of pride.”
